You can only switch an image's compression type if your image was compressed within the last 30 days.
Conservative (Lossless)
Reduce the weight and not the quality
Every single bit of data that was originally in the file remains after file is compressed. Images will not loose any quality, they will be 100% same as original.
Expect up to 30% savings.
Balanced (Lossy)
Reduce the weight with some loss in quality.
Reduce a file by permanently eliminating certain information. You sacrifice a small amount of the image quality (usually not noticeable to the human eye) for very large compression.
Expect up to 70% savings.

1. Open the Crush.pics app and click Settings in the toolbar
2. Select your Compression type - Conservative(Lossless) or Balanced(Lossy) and ensure that you are in Individual Compression mode
3. You'll then need to revert your images to their original form (Batch Process > Restore Images)
4. To compress all your photos in this new way, click Batch Process in the toolbar, and then Compress # Images once your images are restored

2. Select your Compression type - Conservative(Lossless) or Balanced(Lossy) and ensure you are in Individual Compression mode
3. Click Batch Process in the toolbar
4. Click the Compress # Images to [mode] button
