Understanding the Activity Log

The Activity page gives you an at-a-glance view of what Crush.pics has been doing in your store — both right now and over the past month. Here’s how to read it.
Automations Status Panel
In the top left, you’ll see your three automations and whether each one is currently on or off:

If any of these show Off, that automation isn’t running. Click the settings icon (⚙️) in the panel to jump straight to automation settings and enable them.
Last 60 Minutes
The top-right panel shows a live activity chart of how many images per hour are being processed right now. This updates in real time and is useful for confirming that an automation has kicked in after you’ve enabled it or uploaded new images.
If you’ve just uploaded a batch of products and want to confirm Crush.pics is working on them, this is the place to check.
Last 30 Days
The lower section gives you a historical view of activity over the past 30 days, broken down by automation type:
- All Automations — Total images processed across all three automations
- Compression — Images compressed
- Alt Text — Images that had alt text applied
- File Rename — Images that were renamed
Each tab shows an image count and a line chart so you can see when activity happened. A flat line means nothing was processed during that period — which is expected if automations were off, or if no new images were uploaded.
What the Activity Page Doesn’t Show
The Activity page is a summary dashboard — it shows counts and timing, not a per-image breakdown. If you want to check the status of a specific image (e.g. whether it was compressed and how much was saved), you’ll find that detail in the Image Dashboard by clicking on the individual image.
Troubleshooting With the Activity Page
Automations are on but the chart shows nothing happening? This is normal if no new images have been uploaded to your store recently. Automations only trigger when new images arrive. To process existing images, run a manual compression from the Images tab.
Activity spike on a specific date? That likely corresponds to a bulk action you ran, a large product import, or when you first enabled an automation.
Everything shows zero for the last 30 days? Check that your automations are enabled, and that images have actually been uploaded to your store during that period. If automations are on and you’re still seeing nothing, reach out to support@crush.pics.
