Installing Crush.pics on Your Shopify Store

Step 1: Install from the Shopify App Store
- Go to the Crush.pics listing on the Shopify App Store.
- Click Add app.
- You’ll be redirected to your Shopify admin to review the permissions Crush.pics needs. These allow the app to access and update your store’s images.
- Click Install app to confirm.
Step 2: Grant Permissions
Crush.pics needs access to your store’s files and products in order to compress and manage images. The permissions screen will outline exactly what access is being requested — this is standard for any image management app.
Step 3: Choose a Plan
After installation, you’ll be prompted to select a plan. You can start with the free plan to try things out, or choose a paid plan based on your store’s image volume. See Plans & Billing for a full breakdown.
Step 4: You’re In
Once installed, you’ll land on the Crush.pics dashboard. From here you can:
- Browse and manage your store’s images
- Set up automations for compression, renaming, and alt text
- Manually compress images right away
What Happens to My Images After Installing?
Nothing automatically — Crush.pics won’t touch your images until you either run a manual compression or set up an automation. You’re always in control.
